The black laced choker

By spotogspindel | February 27, 2017

For the freestyle machine embroidery workshop jewelry, I wanted to make a couple of examples. This is one of them. I first made an outer line of a lace-choker. I then started to fill it.

By simply sewing a geometric pattern of little “fans”, I filled the space between the two lines more or less randomly. However, when the fabric washed away, the shapes became a lot more organic than I had expected, and to be honest: I liked it a lot better now.

How cool! I love that idea. What did you use for backing?
