The Backstage Weekly

This week I finished the big glas-painting! Yay! IT took some time and effort, but it´s been great fun working with. It´s about 1 x 3 meters.
Wednesday we were at a safety-course in “hot-work” arranged by the fire-department. So now I am certified to work with hot stuff! 😉
Most of the week I´ve been working on laying bricks though. As you can see, our space is filing up with decor-pieces for Les Mis.
I took a small excursion next door, to the museum, and found this moose. He looks like he´s been de-crowned. No wonder he looks so sad…
All in the intension of making a big mask and costume for a new show. I am so lucky to have the costume-design for one of the shows premiering in January. And this is the very first start on one of the costumes. It´s my colleague making it, she´s a trained puppeteer from Prague.
The designs will be presented tomorrow, so I´ve been at home painting the entire weekend. We just made a head-start on the moose, as that will take some time to complete. An adventure!
The show is called PERPLEKS! and is about the different identities we are given and take on, and how we have different relationships with different people according to these roles.

The show sounds like it should be really interesting — that is the fun of human relationships, isn’t it?! Love the glass, and the sad moose (they always seem to be anticipating the worst, lol) Hot works — cool! 😀
