Welcome to my site! I work as an eco-designer, an artist, as a teacher and as a researcher, and creating, or ARTING as I prefer, makes me happy! This is both a portfolio of things I´ve made and a blog meant to inspire.

Above is the latest in the painted Austevoll seahouse-series. Acrylcs on canvas and wood, 20x20cm. I´m thinking it´s a very big and light space in the middle here, and I really want to do something with it, just not sure what… Maybe it just needs more warmth?

Actually I think I´m not loving it, because I´m going back to being conservative in my painting. I want to be free when I´m painting, not conservative. Typical my favorite parts are the red doors!

Haha, spring springs itself on me and I blink and miss all your posts! Heh.

Well there are so many great things in this work it’s a shame to not work on it till you love it.

You know those red doors are singing (lalalala). There is an american Hopper yes that’s him who featured houses with similar ambience.

So you have a great big white space in the picture. It’s like a new canvas – a new beginning that big space.

So a cast shadow, a lovely mauve of an unseen tree – no the tree would have to be in the pic…

My thoughts would be to put in another door, open perhaps. Or a kid playing with a ball (too trite) along the die of the house – with his dog. Hmm? That would give us a focus, you could put the kids shadow on the wall as well.

Hopper went for enigma I think. So maybe enigma?

Oh the weather is warming up. Bad.

we get to the late thirties in summer but the ocean breeze keeps us cool.

Sorry I am quiet. I am working hard on the project. I’ll try and send query letters next week with a synopsis and sample images.

I should be sitting on a beach somewhere instead doing situps – whatever they are.

    cheers from Oz 🙂
