My face in Space

By spotogspindel | June 11, 2010

I just found the coolest thing ever (next to being an astronaut). NASA invites ordinary people to participate digitally on one of their two last trips to space with the Space shuttles.

I just signed up, uploaded a picture of myself, and got a confirmation-number. The launch is in september, and I´ll even get a Certificate of participation.

(yep, that´s the digital image of my self-portrait that´s going to space!)

Am I childish to be so excited about this? I really did want to become an astronaut when I was 12. And this is the closest I´ll ever get 🙂

Here´s a link so you can sign up too. There are lots of links on the Face in Space-site, where I/we can learn more about the trip, and space in general. I´m thinking it´s about time I freshened up some of my space-knowledge from 6th grade!
