keyhole necklace
By spotogspindel | November 23, 2011
At Art & Soul I made this pretty gorgeous key-hole in Lisa Call´s class in PMC. I´ve been pondering how to incorporate it into a beautiful necklace.
In my head it didn´t look like this at all, but this is what it evolved into anyway 🙂 The silver-twig was made by Jen Crossley. I´ve also used real pearls, and mother-of-pearl. (Did you know that drilling in mother-of-pearl smells just like burning hair!?) And at the top, I decided to use my favorite material: silk! This is part of an old silk sari, and has some worn gold threads in it, which makes it all the more special 🙂
It´s looking a bit square at the moment, I´m not sure it will stay this way. I really am missing something below the key-hole, I just haven´t found it yet.
