Ice, ice baby!

By spotogspindel | July 13, 2013

New experience!

I´ve been glacier hiking! For the first time in my life. And it was such fun! The Nigards glacier is an arm of the Jostedals glacier.

Equipped with mountain boots, spikes, ice-ax and tied together with a rope. Cool!

This is fun!

And the reason I´m here:

To get some cool photographs! (literarily)

We didn´t go all that far up on the ice, but it was a great experience nevertheless. We climbed up, ate lunch and went back down again.

It was pretty surreal to be walking on ice on a warm summer day. The ice was cold naturally, but there was a warm wind, and back down again we could strip to t-shirts, it was so warm.
