Culinary seagulls?
By spotogspindel | July 1, 2013
I found this recipe online. There are several recipes on seagulls. I was a tiny bit surprised I admit. I was browsing for it while working on a picture featuring seagulls. Now, I have to admit, I´m not much a dare-devil when it comes to culinary exploration. But if any of my readers are, please feel free to not only try it out, but let me know how it worked out! My Mom told me she had tasted another sea-bird, alke (it translates to razorbills… is that even a word?), and apparently it was delicious. It´s a whole, unknown world just waiting out there… Who knew!?

I was surprised to learn that gull eggs are considered very tasty by the native people in alaska. It makes sense that people everywhere eat what is available. I don’t think I’d want to catch or eat one of the nasty looking gulls in my neighborhood, but I would taste it if someone else would like to prepare it for me! 🙂
