Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 20 people are allowed inside simultaneously, but the exhibition is open for two weeks and is part of “The Wool-weeks”, with several other inspiring exhibitions […]
The magical, mystical, the weird and wonderful world of books!
Saturday, June 27th, 2020A good book is a treasure. It can take you deep inside yourself, or far, far away. To other other worlds, to other cultures, to other minds. It can broaden your horizon and it can broaden your mind, your imagination, your talents, in addition to your knowledge. It can make you forget yourself, forget time […]
The 2019 Christmas ornaments
Tuesday, December 24th, 2019If you have been following me for a while, you know that every Christmas I make one new Christmas tree ornament. (And that I swap with some of my artist-friends). Why a suitcase? I wanted the ornament to reflect my 2019, if possible. And a suitcase may or not be representative of that. In the […]
6000000 STING in Bryne
Thursday, October 4th, 2018Garborgsenteret in Bryne wanted to show my embroidery-exhibition, and it will be on display there until May -19 (at least). The exhibit was put together by a professional with a masters degree in scenographic museum-displays. How lucky am I?! Fabiola. Orignal by Henner. Embroidered versions. A collage of embroidery borrowed from the public.

hipsters suspended
Monday, April 18th, 2016How to make your very own hipster-knicker: You take one pair of vintage suspender-knickers from the late 60s. You find a couple of portrait-photos of some cool hipsters, and draw them onto the water-souble-fabric. Sew. A lot. Freestyle machine embroidery. In a slightly darker color than the vintage fabric. After the algaenat is gone, you´re left […]
Gleaner-corset
Thursday, March 31st, 2016In a charity-shop I found an embroidered version of Jean-François Millet´s painting called The Gleaners (1857). It depicts three peasant women gleaning a field of stray grains of wheat after the harvest. I wanted to use it for something special, and decided to use it for the Elizabethan corset I´ve had in my mind for […]
redesigned embroidered corset
Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016Today´s embroidery-project is making a redesigned embroidered corset. Or even better yet: up-cycled! I finally decided on which old embroidery to use (and found another that kind of matches for the side-parts) It´s been a couple of years since I last made a corset and I can´t find my pattern, so I´m winging it (Yikes, […]
