Camel fig box

By spotogspindel | June 7, 2010

For the inside of my fig-box-door I wanted to paint a camel I rode a few years back when I was Egypt. If you´ve ever been warned riding camels, that it´s fairly uncomfortable…  well, I can only confirm, tourist as I am.

Here is the original (manipulated) photo, squeezed in quite a bit.

The outline drawn in pencil onto the wood.

The paint is coming into place.

Layers later, the camel is in place. I´m actually quite pleased with it. I really like painting on wood, when you can see the structure shine through.
