Budapest, Hungary
By spotogspindel | August 11, 2018
A long-weekend in Budapest with my husband, before heading for a conference in Vienna. Budapest. It sounds like… exotic mystery lurking behind a iron-veil. At least that was my impression as a young girl, when Hungary was part of the East-block. And even if we were here just a couple of days before taking the train to Austria, it had both history and charm in truck-loads! Just a very few photos being shared here, as we were to busy to soak it all in and enjoy, to bother taking photos…
Who wouldn´t want to take a ochre-yellow tram to work?!
We stumbled upon an amazing folklore embroidery exhibition at the National Crafts Museum, I fell head over heals in love with the colors and patterns!
Embroidery on leather… actually lots more photos on my Instagram.
Oh, we have to come back here!

I love folklore patterns. Such whimsical art coming from an often difficult world.
