Saturday, June 30th, 2012I was at the exhibition-opening of Alf Ertsland today at Galleri Giga, and was truly inspired by his amazing oil-paintings. So much that I not only have to share with you some of his paintings, I went straight to my arts and crafts-shop to buy some oil-paints myself. I´ve never tried it before, but next […]
Jan Willy´s poster
Friday, June 29th, 2012A poster for the next exhibition: Jan Willy is a good friend in the Bømlo art group, and he just got his “official approval” as an artist from the Norwegian art society. To celebrate that, we´re having an exhibition where he can show off his delicate landscape paintings.

a summer favorite
Wednesday, June 27th, 2012A couple of years ago I had this different kind of pizza in Las Vegas, invented at the restaurant for a waitress who loved pizza but was allergic to tomatoes. Now it´s an easy-to-make, summer-favorite dinner. You need a pizza-dough-base covered in pesto, diced chicken and sprinkle cheese on top. That´s it. Doesn´t get easier. […]
model-making
Monday, June 25th, 2012An old pencil sawn to pieces… some beads… paper… capa-board leftovers… a little wood-glue… … and black paint, of course. And what do you get? A mini-model of an old-fashioned stove. I had to add some plates of magnets, the pencil-chimney was a bit heavy. But now it´s perfectly balanced 🙂
Cruys-cookies and copper-coins
Sunday, June 24th, 201215000 copper coins, imbedded in cement following the naked rock face of this little island in Bømlo. It looks kind of grey now, but that´s only because it´s oxidizing, gradually turning turquiose. If you don´t know what I´m talking about, click HERE. The official opening started with a lecture about tzar Peter the great, Cornelius […]
Summer, Stockholm and salmon
Thursday, June 21st, 2012The past couple of days I´ve had a wonderful visitor, my friend Lotta-Maja from Stockholm. She´s never been to this part of Norway before, so we did a bit of the sights. Including a visit to a salmon-hatchery, which I´ve never been to before. They deliver no less than a million mini-fish to the salmon-farms. […]

Tuesday, June 19th, 2012This upcoming sunday is the grand opening of the Kjøpholmen-project. I´ll tell you more about that when we get there. But there are a few things to prepare. Like this big metal information board that will be placed along the road. the text is in both Norwegian and in English, and since the text here […]
IF: secret
Monday, June 18th, 2012Your secret is safe with me, after all, I´m a silent star… It´s been ages since I did an Illustration Friday-assignment. This week´s theme is Secret, and I thought it was a perfect theme for a silent movie star. Hollywood is otherwise know, I suppose, for it´s gossip.
