Welcome to my site! I work as an eco-designer, an artist, as a teacher and as a researcher, and creating, or ARTING as I prefer, makes me happy! This is both a portfolio of things I´ve made and a blog meant to inspire.

wooden POP art

By spotogspindel | March 3, 2013

I´ve been working all day on a big wooden mosaic. Hopefully I´ll finish it tomorrow, and can show you the result then. But what I can show you, is the tiny sample that I made. Partly print, partly paint on raw oak. Well, I say raw, but I spent most of the morning sanding the cubes. 84 of them. Eighty-four I tell you!!! Each cube is 4×4 cm (1,6 x1.6 inches)

I almost always work with loads of colors, loads and loads of layers,a maximalistic expression. So working with only three colors today, in almost a pop-art type of style was very fun!

Using wood as the painting medium is very interesting and gives the art a distinct look.
