Valentine

Happy Valentine´s day!
Valentine´s Day is a rather new tradition in Norway. So new, you can´t really call it a tradition yet at all. But I do remember when we just had moved to the States, I was 11, and experienced my first Valentines. My classmates gave me Valetine-cards, and was a bit baffled by the whole thing. Now, any day the CELEBRATES love is a good day, if you ask me. One can sure argue pros and cons on the commercial side of things, but let´s focus on the love-part, shall we? 
I made this postcard just for fun last night. It´s very much inspired by StilettoHeights. She makes the most amazing collages with beautiful fashion shots of women.

Here too often valentine’s day raises high expectations and causes friction — it all looks so silly from my vantage, outside a relationship right now, but I remember those conflicted feelings! If only it really could just be about love, lol.
