The princess and the pea…

By spotogspindel | November 22, 2010

This is a textile picture I made way back in 1998, I just found an old photo of it, looking for something else. It´s made for my cousin´s first-born.

The motif is from a well-known fairy-tale, probably the Grimm-brothers, about a girl who was so picky, she tossed and turned and couldn´t sleep all night because they´d put a pea under 13 mattresses. In the morning, they decided that she was a true princess, and was allowed to marry the prince in the tale. I´m honestly not sure what the moral is here. Not sure at all…

Oh there was something I had to say…. hmm. This is loveley. Oh to use the word ‘lovely’ but it really is 🙂 Loving the vertical format, gives you that chance to flex those imaginary muscles and it suits it so well.

Oh the moral…. hmm if we stick by our guns then we get what we want? If we insist that we are worthy then we are? Or prinvcesses are a pain in the butt 🙂

Oh I remebered. Well I didn’t know that about pentagrams and thankyo for beingso observant about my last image 🙂

I’ve been surfing the last few days and doing an unpaid commission (arent I nice )

Take care. I’ll be off line soon for a while (in the water) but will visist before I go.

A man should feel like a king if he has a high maintenance wife? Whatever the moral, I love your rendition!
