The Monster Aunt premiere

By spotogspindel | November 9, 2011

Today is the premiere of “The Monster Aunt”, a rock-opera written by the music teacher students at HSH. It´s based on a book by Ingelin Røssland. It´s a anti-happy-ending book. Pretty anti-happy throughout, with a young girl spending  the summer at her farmer-aunt, while her parents are on holiday trying to figure out weather they should get a divorce.

The Monster-aunt puts her to work, and feeds her only healthy food.

Here she´s depicted while resting after a party, using her cat as a stool.

Cute kitty-kitty-kitty… or cool cat playing the standing bass.

In addition to the cat, she´s got lots of cows on her farm.

Singing cows in high-heels. Moo-ing away.

See?!! Told you they were sexy!!! 😉

In addition to the costumes, we also made the set, which basically is built up of hay.

There are also a couple of chairs we painted, and an old stove that I actually made for “Fiddler on the roof” (It´s nice that the schools can borrow from each other, saves us all a lot of work)

A great premiere, with a full auditorium, and lots of cheers & kind words from the mayor and the author 🙂

well I came with bated breath today, waiting to see the sexy cows, and boy, my eyes fell on the aunt, and that was it I was swept off my feet …. in fact I started running in the other direction.:)

I think it was the shovel….

yes Janne, I must agree, they are the sexiest cows I have ever seen ….. 🙂 Who would have thought that udders could have been so … ‘attractive’.

Actually I have thing for stoves too. Especially in winter 🙂

PS do you have a part on stage as well?

greetings from oz, land of the kangaroo in board shorts 🙂
