the little house on the prairie

Todays achievement? Framing a dozen pictures, some office-work, learning how to spell “prairie”
, some looking-for-inspiration-for-some-new-pictures-work…
I called this picture “The little house on the prairie”, inspired by Laura Ingall´s books. Sometimes working as an artist, solitaire, feels slightly lonely, like a little house on a big prairie. And sometimes I think it might of been nice with a community, like a shared office/studio-area with other creative spirits. And other times I think I work quite well on my own, not being disturbed, working in my own tempo. What do you think? Any insightful experiences to share?

I love the Laura Ingalls books so much when I was a child — I didn’t know until I was grown how much I’d also learned from them!

I also loved Little House on the Prairie, and often pretended I was Laura, living her adventures. As an artist one of things I love is being able to work alone, but I find I also really enjoy the occasional arting get-togethers with friends. I’m not sure I could work in a community setting on a regular basis, though, as I enjoy long hours in silence.
