Summer, Stockholm and salmon

By spotogspindel | June 21, 2012

The past couple of days I´ve had a wonderful visitor, my friend Lotta-Maja from Stockholm. She´s never been to this part of Norway before, so we did a bit of the sights. Including a visit to a salmon-hatchery, which I´ve never been to before. They deliver no less than a million mini-fish to the salmon-farms. And before you think a single bad thought about farmed salmons being bad for the nature because of deceases, there hasn´t been a single outbreak of anything since 1992! (Yes, that´s me with the funny hat, they take hygiene very seriously) Bømlo provides 3% of the world´s farmed salmons. That´s pretty much for a small island. I think if you ad the neighboring three municipalities, you´ll reach 10%. And they taste super-yummy! We know, we had some for dinner 🙂 (The ones on the photo are just babies)

Our days also included driftwood-hunting, beach-wandering and crab-scaring, a very old church and a very big theatre, an even bigger ocean, knitting, embroidering, wild flowers and wondering if one can overdose on vitamin D?

So maybe not very creative days, but wonderfully sunny summer-days. That can´t be bad?!!
