Summer-arting
By spotogspindel | July 30, 2011
The last week has been very different from any other week ever. But even though there is still much listening to the news, still much mourning, still much discussion, life must go on. Or as the English would say: “Keep calm and carry on”. Part of mourning the dead is simply to truly appreciate and celebrate life!
Ida and I (with good help from Elisabeth!) have been working continuously with the costumes for Musical Highlights. It´s quite a puzzle to get everything together. I´m very much looking forward to showing you the results, just a short week now, and it´s opening night!
A couple of evenings we´ve even managed to sneak in some arting as well. Ida has been working on making a a personal mixed media art journal, painting, collageing and finally binding it all together.
And I´ve been working on my new accordion calendar-book. It needs to be ready by August 1st, so I really needed to get a move on it!
I think it´s gonna work out nice, one side is in pinks and oranges, the reverse side is in limes and turquoises. I´ll come back with more pictures once it´s good to go. (Or actually, it will probably be a work-in-progress until way after I´ve started using it, to be quite honest. Oh well)
