Metal-mania
By spotogspindel | May 25, 2011
Finally the weather is warm enough for me to work outside, oxidizing copper and brass. Hopefully this will turn out as cool in real-life as in my head. You never know, because it´s impossible to control the process.
Working on several pieces at the same time. Above is fine metal mesh, and below, solid metal.
Here is the beginning of the process. (Hm, I need to get some summer-flowers in my pots)
The magic combination of metal, chemicals, air, water, and time…
First part of process is done, now they´re drying in my bathtub. The time-part of the equation is the one working for me now.
After a couple of days lying out in the rain, the olives and turquoises are starting to appear.
Stayed tuned. Tomorrow I´ll show you the final result!
