Meeting myself in the door

By spotogspindel | March 13, 2010

Yesterday I attended a comtemporary, classical concert at the Borealis-Festival in Bergen. I was so full of pre-justice, thinking it would all be random “plings” and “plongs” with no rhyme or rhythm. I had to eat my harsh words, because I really enjoyed it! Oh, don´t you just hate it when your horizon is widened! (he, he..)

First these 6 women played what I would compare to a “drum-n-bass for pianos” tune for about 10-15 minutes. It was very meditative, even though it wasn´t soft or laid-backed at all.

Then two Dutch women did… musical experiments, I think we should call it, on the pianos.

The experiments included a pile of mattresses, a car-jack, marbles, ear-goggles, a string with a wine-cork (on the picture), and weights. It was funny, beautiful and dreamy.
