Late-nite-ARTing
By spotogspindel | April 13, 2011
Half the fun with Artfest is the late-nite-art-journaling.
Bonfire-night on the beach, and the bar-hut is filled with loads of people arting, trading and talking. But the other nights we just hang out in the dorms.
Here are some of my Arting friends (I added links to their sites, so you can see more of their work):
Well, Michelle needs no introduction by now
The funky cat-person is painted by Elizabeth O´Donnell, Artfest-newbie and our new best arting-friend from Alaska.
She is a mixed-media artist, a guerilla-artist, a teacher, an explorer, a spinner and just plain old cool!
And look who I found?! My Canadian super-sweet & funny friend Tammy McGee! Yay! Her art is great and I am so happy to be in her art-swap circle!
She painted a tiny pear in my book. Next to the pear is Tyler´s mermaid.
This is Tyler Larsen, who I am currently staying with in Seattle. We have a lot in common with our textile backgrounds, and she has her own company where she makes the cutest baby-clothes.
I adore her newly made journal.
It was so much fun to meet another foreigner, the beautiful Martina Spraiter from Austria.
She´s a graphic designer, and look at the cute little bird she painted in my pendant-book!
This is Laura Allen. The youngest member of the late-night-artingers. And Colette Schildkraut from England, living in New York. Both adorable people. Below are their art-contributions to my book.
One of my Arting-friends from last year, Shelly Massey, at the iron artist challenge.
She taught two classes this year, and on her blog you can see, in addition to her own art, the results of her students work. Here is the octopus she painted in my book.
made this cute growth-inspiration.
The late-nighters…
… posing as bulls:
Why don´t you join us next year?!
