Welcome to my site! I work as an eco-designer, an artist, as a teacher and as a researcher, and creating, or ARTING as I prefer, makes me happy! This is both a portfolio of things I´ve made and a blog meant to inspire.

India-shipment

By spotogspindel | September 16, 2011

Finally, the shipment is on it´s way. Three big wooden crates filled with art. It´s for the commission I´ve been working on. It´s a supply-ship, owned by a Norwegian and as far as I know it will be operating outside Norway. However it is being built in India and I had to ship the art there.

I know, I know, I am silly being so excited about such a small thing, but it´s the first time I´ve ever shipped anything huge outside the country, and it´s taken me some effort to get it done. Figuring out the paper-mill, finding the right shipping-company, making the boxes out of heat-treated wood!, etc.

Just the packing itself took me several days! Luckily I have the best Dad in the world, and he´s so helpful! He even postponed his fishing-trip with his german visitor, and brought him along to help me get things ready.

Two hours later I´m in Haugesund doing a fitting with one of the dancers, Tomos.

This is him and Birgitte. She´s such a great seamstress, and makes my designs come to life. This was our first fitting of the main costume, and I am so excited about it, because it turned out looking really good! Yay! Can´t wait to have everything in place! And to show you 🙂
