IF – afloat

By spotogspindel | February 13, 2010

Illustrations Friday´s theme this week is afloat. For once a very easy theme, full of dreamy longing, both literarily and symbolically.

The lyrics are from “Did I dream” or “Song to the Siren” by Lost Witness. Sung by Tim Buckley, This Mortal Coil, Robert Plant, the Czars, Laurie Freelove, to mention some.  My favorite might be the Bollywood-version, but all I could find is a little Amazon-teaser. If you have Spotify, you can listen to the different versions there.

The photos in the collage are all mine, taken out here in the islands.

Aha, getting the 3d photos and the 3d map and a bit of grunge and those power lines on the map and the figure dreaming of the island. This work is very poetic.

Did a search for Tim Buckley on you tube and came up with the song – but it had been removed by the user~~

Tom Buckley was good, great range in his voice. Now there was a man you could trust!
