For the love of oranges

By spotogspindel | May 16, 2010

I painted this tired little senorita today after finishing my speech. She really does love oranges. she´s just tired from picking so many of them…

She´s painted on the lid of the little wooden box I made the mini-shelf from yesterday.

I wanted to incorporate letters in the picture. I couldn´t find the “F” in the alphabet… isn´t that typical!?! So I used an “F” from another alphabet, but I don´t think it matters too much. It might even be better for the “whimsicalnes”.

So when the shops open again on Tuesday, I´ve got to get me some hinges to make a proper door!

And I will need help finding the right name for her. Suggestions?

That first comment was a name suggestion – as in blanching to stop the cooking and keep the color. I’m not much of a “cooker girl” so that is my interpretation of the process. My first visit here – lovely colors!

So the speech is done? And you are a star? But of course!

Hey love that painting, whimsical did I hear? A whimsical ‘f’. :) Well. Nice orange segments!

    For a name? “Little Senorita?”
