Fig box

By spotogspindel | June 3, 2010

Here is another wooden box I found in my attic. I bought this one a couple of years ago at a charity shop. It says fig on the lid, but somehow I´ve thought it was for cigars. Anyone recognize the brand and can tell me? It did smell kind of funky when it got wet…

Trying out some colors on the back, just to see how they´d mix with the wood.

Adding some washed out paint to the front, because I want to save the wonderful Camel Brand-imprint.

I actually started with the inside. Turquoise-blueish, with white puffy clouds.

And a deMeng Usuchzz-paint-combo wash over the sky to age it.

Now for today´s question: what should I paint under the lid, which will be the inside of the cabinet-door?

Any other suggestions? I feel the front need something more too..
