2 necklaces, two pairs of earrings, beads and stones that have been lying around unused for a long time are now put together into one “brand new” necklace.

Now maybe I´ll have to dig out my old gypsy-hippie tunics to match

Madam Prom

Let me introduce you to Madam Prom. A grand old lady proudly situated in Steinkjellergaten in Bergen from the 18th century.

The ever-energetic Rita of UniqueDesigns opened another store, this time in the heart of Bergen, just above Bryggen.

It opened just a week ago, and I am proud to be presented in her new shop as well as the original one in Åsane. Such an eclectic mix of antiques, and fine crafts and fun art.

The old, raw timber wall tells silent stories about the history of the house and the area. I think it really enhances my pictures below

So if you´re ever in Bergen, do stop by! Rita is such a pleasure to meet and there is always hot coffee and a comfy chair!

A real treasure map!

I´ve made this treasure map over Bømlo, my little island, filled with treasures. And the best part is that they´re for real! In all 12 locations spread around the island there will be an art-in-nature-treasure.

Kjøpholmen I´ve told you about already. And the Draugr eyes. The third project I´ll tell you more about as it is being made. But here is the map with all the locations gathered. It will be published in the Summer-addition to the local newspaper, and hopefully people will take care of it, and use it as little goals for their Sunday-hikes.

New silk and vintage lace

On my work-desk right now:

A new cream silk dress and vintage, hand-crochet lace. The dress was a real bargain at a sale, and the lace I got at a London vintage textile fair. Putting them together hopefully makes a happy union.

Draugr

Draugr is the name of one of Bømlo Art Group´s Art-in-nature-projects. It´s the name of a Nordic sea-ghost. One of the members, Bjørn Inge Gåsland, is a glass-artist, and he´s made the big glass-baubles, looking like eyes. Today, I was so lucky I got to go with him, when he was mounting a pair of “eyes” in a small lake here in Bømlo. All-in-all he has 11 pairs, and they will placed in lakes and ponds all over the island.

I think they look really cool!

Can you see them? It´s a big monster lying very still, watching you with crooked eyes

Another page from my art journal. Also from Lindesnes.

I only had a relatively thick brush, so none of the finer details mede t on the tower. But parts of it turned out quite nice. I´m not rally used to painting sea and waves, so this is something I definitely need to work more with.
