Welcome to my site! I work as an eco-designer, an artist, as a teacher and as a researcher, and creating, or ARTING as I prefer, makes me happy! This is both a portfolio of things I´ve made and a blog meant to inspire.

dress pattern experimentation

By spotogspindel | July 20, 2011

Constructing patterns is fun! Especially when you have to experiment a bit with the pattern to get special effects.

Of course one should always experiment in low-cost cotton calico. Bold as I am (and not possessing any calico) I´m crossing my fingers, hoping it will be ok.

And the result?

Again I have to wait for the actor to arrive to adjust it. Only then will I see if reality turns out like the design…

The fabric looks so nice. I hope you take pictures of the dress being worn.
