collar-necklace
By spotogspindel | June 6, 2009
I heard some time ago, that as long as you keep your neck (and throat) warm, you won´t ever catch a cold. A thin layer of cloth is all that is necessary. Even a cut-off stocking will do. But I thought I´d make a bit more out of it, and have experimented a bit with textile necklace-shawls. Or whatshamacallit.
I haven´t decided yet if this one is finished, I was thinking about adding a vintage button in a organza rose and some pearls, but, when I look at it, I´m thinking it might be finished just as it is.

It´s about 1,5 meters long (5 feet), and made of soft tulle, rayon-lace, silk organza, a couple of metal-fabrics and the sequin-lace.
If i am going to make a collection of these, I might need help with the name. Collar-necklace or neck-collar or lace-collar or maybe neck-collar-lace? What do you think I should call them?
I know I already have goody-giveaway in progress, but I´ll throw in a little something for the best suggestion on this one. Looking forward to feed-back!

Thanks for sending your new blog address, Janne – I love seeing what you’re doing! Neck-lace (with hyphen), lace muffler (or nuffler, since I just misspelled it, and that word is kind of cute), scarf-lace… It’s very pretty!

Thank you for your compliments, and all the great suggestions!
It is quite soft. The regular, stiff tulle would just make me scratch. I mean, itch.
