Garborgsenteret in Bryne wanted to show my embroidery-exhibition, and it will be on display there until May -19 (at least). A collage of embroidery borrowed from the public.

Budapest, Hungary

Saturday, August 11th, 2018

A long-weekend in Budapest with my husband, before heading for a conference in Vienna. Budapest. It sounds like… exotic mystery lurking behind a iron-veil. At least that was my impression as a young girl, when Hungary was part of the East-block. And even if we were here just a couple of days before taking the […]

Some of the work is redesigned wool needlepoint. Other pieces are guerilla-inspired. Yet other pieces are portraits made by fabric-printing, appliqué and machine […]

My embroidery exhibition 6 000 000 STING (stitches) is now finished in Stord Museum, and in January I got a request to show it again in Bømlo. It´s not traveling far, but it´s fun to see it up again so soon. It opens Saturday, and will be up for a week-and-a-half.

Christmas at the museum

Saturday, December 3rd, 2016

This weekend Sunnhordlan Museum are opening their doors, inviting to a pre-Christmas event. Exhibitions, activities and cafés… I was present during part of the opening hours at my embroidery exhibition. And to no surprise, the over-sized textile building blocks were once again an attraction among the children. I saw forts and towers, cottages and prisons […]
