Brazil
By spotogspindel | October 6, 2009
Recently I got a commision for decorating a multi-purpose-ship. DOf is naming it Skandi Santos, after the city Santos. I am in the middle of a brain-storm trying to find what I associate with Brazil. My main thought has been the Amazon, the great green wilderness bubbling with life, the shrieks of colorful birds, the damp air in the jungle, the dangers lurking, and the beauty breathtaking… and that is why I started painting green backgrounds for some pictures today.

But please, if you have any good ideas on what is typical Brazil that I have forgotten (which is probably most, since I only have 5 words on the block so far…), give me a hint or a comment. I´ve never been to Brazil, and now I sincerely wished I had.

How wonderful – the first thing I thought of was coffee, probably cause I’m drinking one right now :> then the music/dancing and of course the lovely Indian handicrafts – there are a few specific tribes like the Karaja but you may want to research others there. Good luck!
