Welcome to my site! I work as an eco-designer, an artist, as a teacher and as a researcher, and creating, or ARTING as I prefer, makes me happy! This is both a portfolio of things I´ve made and a blog meant to inspire.

at the theatre

By spotogspindel | February 8, 2013

I´m working on a newly written youth-piece called “Kim leker” (Kim plays). It´s a DUS-project, which is a annual, national project where authors are challenged to write drama for youth. The best pieces are rewarded by being staged by dozens of youth-theatre groups all around the country.

I am lucky enough to be working on the complete design for this show. Set, props, costumes. Working at Haugesund theatre, preparing. The costumes are slowly filling the shelves. Over the next month and a half, things will come more and more into place.

And what better way to end the workday, than to attend a theatre-show?! This was a very special one, staged in the living room of a civilian family. Two actors, two guests, improvising a New years-dinner, and the audience being “flies on the wall”. And then a little social gathering afterwards. But I just had to share this family-room. Isn´t it amazing?! They´d bought an old prayer-house/chapel, and are in the process of reverting it into a home. The mood of the room was just so warm and welcoming and inspiring.
