Art and Soul retreat!

I have great news! I am teaching at the Art and Soul retreat in Portland 2011. September 26th to October 3rd. If you want to join me, I´d be so happy! I´m teaching two classes, both in creative machine- embroidery.
Here´s my Embroidered Birds-workshop:
If you´ve ever wanted to make your own little embroidered pictures, this is the class you´re looking for. I will teach you to use the sewing machine´s freestyle embroidery-function (not the advanced, computer-function! Just good-old mending-function). Inspired by the beauty of birds, we´ll make a colorful zoo of parrots, tucans and other feathered friends. Bring your scraps of fabric, lots of thread, and a little bit of chocolate

Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th, I´m having a two-day workshop in Textile Portraits.
In this class you will learn an easy way to make realistic portraits in fabric. I will take you through the steps of the process, using well-known techniques as fabric-painting, applique and machine-embroidery in a slightly new way, and we will make magic happen as the face gradually appears between your fingers!
You don´t have to be a whiz on your sewing-machine, but if nice if you´re friends
