Stavanger Street art

Saturday, January 21st, 2012

I was visiting a friend in Stavanger yesterday who guided me around on a little photo-safari. She showed me these amazing street art paintings / graffiti made by Canadian artists. I´m in awe! Both of the quality, the shere size, and the ideas. Enjoy! This last one is the lighthouse at Obrestad. I´ve heard this [...]

Bømlo Theatre´s new choir-project, for which I´m the production-leader. Tomorrow is the deadline for joining , if anyone wants to be a part of the funk! This time around it will be classical Motown-hits we´ll have fun with! This is the choir for busy people. Two weekend-rehearsals, rounded off with two concerts. Efficient, just the [...]

ship-building backstage

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

Being in Ulsteinvik I got the chance to look at one of the supply-ships I´m making art for, while it is still very much a work-in-progress. I find looking onboard these ships so interesting, and thought you might like a look too. This ship will be finished in two months, and it seems there is [...]

Monday, January 16th, 2012

I´m back with the 6th grade in Hasund, Ulsteinvik. Two more days of making art, before we deliver decorations for Viking Prince. Today I thaught the students to bleach. That is how to draw a negative picture on a dark surface with bleach. They all got a piece of plain black cotton fabric, and used [...]

silk velvet

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

Yesterday´s white-on-white fabric silkscreen print on silk satin in day-light. Lately I´ve taken a strong liking to creative projects that isn´t done in 30 minutes, projects that take days and weeks, even months to finish. I´m having a great time with my time-consuming crafts, but there is a lot less action for the blog. Future-evening-hobby-project-in-the-planning-alert! [...]

white silk satin

Friday, January 13th, 2012

I+ve probably mentioned it before, but there is a lot of fabric in my house. I have a gazillion plans for what I´m gonna make with it all, but I am not sure if I´ll have the time in just one lifetime. There are textile treasures I´ve found on my travels, others I´ve inherited, some [...]

Only a few days left…

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

… of Christmas, that is. Well, actually, tomorrow is the last day according to Norwegian tradition. So good fortune brought me the last of my exchange Christmas tree ornaments. This hand-painted angel is from Tammy in Canada. She is such a talented painter, so fond of glitter and the most beautiful soul in all of [...]

This is my baby sister. As you can see she´s pretty pregnant, and we wanted to take some pictures of her beautiful big baby-belly. We are all very excited to meet her first-born. In a month´s time, I´ll have a brand new baby to spoil right next door! How great is that!
