Welcome to my site! I work as an eco-designer, an artist, as a teacher and as a researcher, and creating, or ARTING as I prefer, makes me happy! This is both a portfolio of things I´ve made and a blog meant to inspire.

Yet another calender-book

Sunday, September 18th, 2011

Time flies. And once again it´s time to present a new calender-book. This one is also an accordion-book, I really liked my last one. The biggest advantage with it is that it doesn´t fill up uneven, breaking the back-spine. When it fills, it fills equally on both sides, and just becomes fatter. Very nice indeed. […]

IF – mesmerizing

Saturday, September 17th, 2011

Illustration Friday´s theme this week is Mesmerizing. I made this textile portrait a few years ago, but still find his eyes quite mesmerizing. (I can admit to being proud of my creation, right?) In any case, I am currently working on another couple of textile portraits, in preparation for my Art& Soul workshop in Portland […]

India-shipment

Friday, September 16th, 2011

Finally, the shipment is on it´s way. Three big wooden crates filled with art. It´s for the commission I´ve been working on. It´s a supply-ship, owned by a Norwegian and as far as I know it will be operating outside Norway. However it is being built in India and I had to ship the art […]

Cutting day

Wednesday, September 14th, 2011

The big mass-production day! Tanja came in from Sandnes, Birgitte organized, and we all spent the day cutting shirts. I think we managed around 50! This picture is taken at the end of the day, hence all the cut-offs on the floor 🙂 As you can see the room is quite dark, we´re actually on […]

Green kimono re-done

Monday, September 12th, 2011

Sunday spent sewing at home. What a wonderful peaceful day, not leaving the house, not driving two hours to get to the theatre and home agin, but just being at home, working. I love an efficient day! One of the Amanda-dresses, half-way done and ready for fitting. I like the little detail, both sides, both […]

B-utiful!!!

Sunday, September 11th, 2011

Oh, the treasures you can find on eBay! I just have to share this beauty with you. Vintage silk from the 1920-30s. Looking plain, you say? In which case, I´ll just turn my back on you! Now look at that stunning piece of craftsmanship! All hand-embroidered. I mean, seriously! The colors, the details, the texture. […]

Bergen sightseeing

Saturday, September 10th, 2011

Such a rich day! Photo-safari in Bergen, to fill my archive of “raw-material”. I found the Bounty at quay and visited onboard. Very cool ship, even though it´s just a copy of the real thing. At least it´s been in two of the pirates of the Caribean-movies 😉 When ever I am not satisfied with […]
