Ave Maria

Monday, May 31st, 2010

There seems to be a lot of sewing these days I am making a new belt for one of the guides in Sunnhordland Guideteneste in Moster Amphi  and Historical Religious Centre. Ave Maria Gracia Plena Dominvs Tcvm This text is written on the old church bell in Moster Church. Moster is where Norway first was […]

IF-slither

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Slithering, a form of terrestrial locomotion. The photos of the snakes I took in Gothenburg a couple of years ago, and thought they´d be perfect for this weeks theme. Of course I felt the urge to use a sly lady to bring the point across. Unfortunately I don´t know who the photographer is of this […]

Tulle-tu-tu

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

This week I am in the Opera house in Oslo attending a tutu-workshop. We are making skirts for the annual “The Nutcracker”-show- The old tutus are 15 years old, and well-worn, and now they needed new ones. I was given the candy-colored tulle you see here: In not-so-long it will turn into one of the […]

Oslo, the Opera and The Eurovision Song Contest

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

All of a sudden I find myself in Oslo, attending a workshop at the Opera! Somebody had to turn down their place in the workshop, and I jumped at the chance. These workshops are pretty hard to get into, so I was thrilled at getting the chance. And the workshop they were offering made it […]

Something´s going on

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

I am in a rush, but have to tell you that something is going on. Something kind of awesome. It includes one nutcracker, several meters of aquarium-colored tulle, four Bulgarian dancers, the foreign ministry of Croatia and 78 lighting technicians… Hopefully I´ll have the time to post some pictures tonight

the Mamma Mia concert

Monday, May 24th, 2010

We´ve been rehearsing all weekend, memorizing text, humming melodies, and last night we filled the culture-house with audience for our own version of the ABBa-songs. Not the musical, not the movie, but the story of a young girl from Bjødledalen falling in love with a muscular Mexican… Our host, the beautiful, young girl from Bjødledalen, […]

Wig? Bowl?

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

Is it a wig? Is it a bowl? No, it´s… BOTH! The Danish Ceramic design company Kahler just made these bowls inspired by hair-cuts(!) . . . . . I thought they were just to much fun, not to share with you There is a third one on their site.

Hidden behind the door

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

I got hinges for my little Clementine-box today, and screwed the door in place. Now what is hidden behind the door? Could it be? Doesn´t that look like? Oh yes! It´s the world´s most colorful ribbon-organizer-cabinet! I´m especially fond of my recycled old paint-brushes, that now hold all the ribbons in place. Here´s the double-decker […]

Mamma Mia

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

Ooo, I´m gonna be on TV tonight! A local TV station asked me and a couple of other people involved in the Mamma Mia-project to come to the studio tonight. So if you get TV Haugaland, we´ll be one between 17.30 and 18.30 talking about the concert, and about the theatre-fusion that´s in process in […]

Finishing winter

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

I´ve been finishing off some projects, trying to sort some of all my mess. These two pictures were made while it was still winter, but I just got the frames to stretch them up on. Now I just need some sort of outer framing.
