Making apple-drink

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Those who know me, know that I am not the greatest housewife. But there is one domestic thing that I am quite good at. And that is making apple-drink. Or “saft” as it´s called in Norway. Anyway. Being an apple-patriot (I have three trees in my garden), I´d thought I´d take you through the recipe. [...]

The love-house

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

I got this beautiful wooden house from Michelle, made by Lani Kent at Healing Expressions.

I am sure, you can contact Lani and order some custom-made for the coming Christmas-present-season!

I´ve been interviewed

Friday, October 30th, 2009

A couple of weeks ago, a former theatre/musical-student of mine, Christine, contacted me, to make an interview for a school-project. She is studying graphic design, and this was a supposed portrait-interview for a magazine.
You can read her thoughts on the project here and the interview by clicking the pictures at the top. I especially like [...]

plaster-parrot

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I made this guy today. That is, I made the plaster-on-watercolor-paper when Michelle was still here. But he got his color today. I really enjoy how the layering of watered out acrylics give life to the three-dimensional plaster.

This is such a fun way to make pictures! I am totally gonna get hooked on working in this [...]

15 000!

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Today is very special. Today I am 15 000 days old! That´s pretty serious! I´ve been thinking about how I should celebrate my special day. I mean, it´s way cooler to celebrate a 15000-days day, than any other traditional “round” day, like 30, 40 or 50. But I did have a big celebration last year, [...]

A colorful week

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

This morning I drove Michelle to the airport, after almost a full week of creativity. Yesterday we traveled to Bergen, via Fusa. We met up with my sister, Astri, at her interior-shop, Velkommen. (Soon she´ll have Michelle´s clocks there too).
We drove on to Bergen, meeting up with Kristin, who took us up to Fløyen, and to [...]

Creative day 5

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Here are a couple of my journal-pages that I´ve been working on these days in between.

Birds have been a lot on mind mind lately, because of the Brazil-ship-project.

The lady in red is embroidered by Michelle. The first day she was here, I showed her how to do free-embroidery on the sowing machine by making a [...]

Creative day 4

Monday, October 26th, 2009

On my fourth day of ARTING with Michelle, we started out at sea! (Or, she´d already been up a couple of hours by the time I was awake, working on her new clock-designs.)
But anyway, my Dad and Axel took us out to the open sea, with 180 degrees of ocean-horizon around us. 2 meter waves, [...]

Creative day 3

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

Third day of creating with Michelle.
My attitude-lady in red has gotten more color today. In this picture you can also see how the plaster gives a three-dimensional effect. It was super-fun to paint on plaster, and I am sure I will try a lot more of that later on too.

Me doing finishing touches on the [...]

Creative day 2

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

Todays inspiration/sightseeing went to Moster, the oldest church in Norway. Michelle tried out the acoustic in the amphi-theatre. and I found the saying of the day:

Everyone is wise. Some before, and some after.
And then we saw Pernilla Holm´s exhibition at Galleri Giga, (which opens tomorrow). Some of the pictures here were paint on plaster, and [...]
