15 – owl and card

By spotogspindel | December 15, 2011

Yes! Another special package arrived today! The super-creative Elizabeth, our Alaskan artist friend joined in the Christmas ornament exchange this year, and look at this amazing owl she made from a recycled sweater! Using the pattern in the old sweater as a natural enhancer of the pattern she needed for the owl. I´m in awe! And he´s so cute, being slightly cross-eyed 🙂

I have to admit, I thing this might be an all-year-round owl. He´s just to darn cute  to only see one month a year.

In my own advent-calender that the baby made for me, I was challenged to make a mini-picture. She gave me a canvas about 2×3 inches. I wanted to make whimsical painting with a lighthouse-tower on it.

Hm. I think I´m not good at fun&whimsical at all. I´m actually better at natural or realistic. Which is something I never thought I´d be able to say.

Anyway. Talking of advent activity calendars…  Here´s your daily challenge 🙂

Make and write and send a Christmas card.

Need ideas? There are tons of creative ideas online, but don´t look to long. Just enough to give you an impression, and then leave it up to your own creativity.
